Fund our Traditions
The Washington Chapter of Alpha Delta Phi has a rich history spanning nearly 100 years. Our traditions of developing the “entire man, develop his whole being, moral, social and intellectual” have been passed down class by class since our founding in 1921. We are fortunate to have a well-documented history in the form of photographs, documents, plaques, music recordings, books, record albums, trophies, and artifacts. Our goal is to preserve and display our documented history to create a living history of our past and to inspire our current and future undergraduates to maintain our traditions.
The goal of the Built to Last campaign is to provide our young men with a facility that is ready for them, on Day 1. The hope is that enough funds are raised to fully outfit the house with all the furnishings they deserve to move in and be as comfortable as possible as they pursue their undergraduate degree.
This website provides an opportunity to make a donation for individual items, large and small, and hopefully enable anyone who wants to participate, to contribute to the cause. All items purchased will be considered tax deductible donations to the Alpha Delta Phi Foundation, and receipts will be provided.
In modern times, it is more standard for chapter members to sleep in their rooms, as opposed to a sleeping porch.
Our new rooms are defined as Study Rooms, but will also allow active members to sleep in the spaces as well, while providing substantial tax incentives based on their design and usage.
The new configuration of the chapter house will provide 38 rooms designated as study rooms, but these rooms will also provide sleeping accommodations for 70 active members. Additionally, the sleeping porch that is being retained on 3rd Old, will house bunk beds for 30 pledges, and is designated as the pledge porch.
Thirteen Single Study Rooms, Twenty 2-man Study Rooms, Three 3-man Study Rooms, and Two, 4-man Study Rooms make up the room configurations.
The newly renovated house will be capable of housing 100 residents.
Opportunities exist for single item purchases, or full room sponsorship, with naming rights.

The Game Room will also feature a Large Screen TV, comfortable seating, and other game items still TBD (Foosball, Asteroids? Where are you Charlie Yu?, Dartboards, etc
The Newly Renovated Kitchen will be expanded slightly to provide Chef Jen the space and tools required to feed our young men.

Product needs, and donor / sponsorship opportunities are still being defined for this important center of activity in the daily lives of our young men.
Details to come. You chefs, and week-end cooks may want to help with donations once the requirements are finalized.
